Our friends Chris and Cami recently had some water damage in their house that required them to rip out their kitchen and start over. They did such an amazing job that I wanted to brag about their hard work and their amazing design choices! You two really knocked it out of the park.
I love a good contrast and these black knobs are the perfect pop against the glazed cabinetry.
I also love how they decided to carry the travertine tile backsplash all the way to the ceiling above the sink. The backsplash also happens to be Cami’s favorite part, and rightfully so. They got it for a steal at $.50 a tile at Imperial Wholesale in Mesa, so if you live close by, you know where to get some travertine tile. I’m sure nobody will be surprised by this: I love the chunky crown moulding that finishes off the top of the cabinets. It’s a small detail, but has a huge impact.
These two took this job seriously. They didn’t leave any detail out. They added new hardwood floors; found at Lumber Liquidators for a little over $2/square foot; cabinets, from Timberline Cabinetry (brand Sollid); granite counter tops, found at Copper State (called Giallo Ornamental). They also added additional lighting and new appliances. They now have a kitchen we can all “oooo” and “ahhhh” over and ultimately be jealous of. BEAUTIFUL work Chris and Cami!! I couldn’t have done it better myself.
